Skin the Vidalia onion and remove the root end. |

Hollow out the core of the onion a little. I find a metal measuring spoon works better than a knife. Cut across the onion about 2/3 of the way down forming an X. Next, you'll need a pat of butter and a beef bullion cube. |

Stuff the bullion cube into the hole. Smush the pat of butter into the hole as well. |

Bring the foil up and seal up the packet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. CAREFULLY unwrap the onion. (Watch for the steam.) |

Using a large spoon, carefully lift the onion from the foil and place it in a bowl. |

Pur the juices from the foil on top of the onion. You might like to add a little sale, but it's probably great as it is! |
