One of the events that could effect attendance at game is the time since time between games. This web page (based on this Excel workbook) examines this.
I got data from a CHL schedule from Marc Foster here. I organized the home games by how many days off between games (0 days off means back to back home games) and then averaged the attendance for that team for the days off. A table of these team averages (and a league average) is below. I then graphed these averages for all teams producing the chart below. The heavy blue line is the league average.
From looking at each team, it is clear that 0 days off is better than 1 day off (except Columbus, Tulsa and Topeka). It also appears that 1 day off is better than 2 days off for about half of the teams. Though the rest of the data seems to be fairly random across all teams, 6 days off appears to be the best time between games. Six days off is essentially 1 week between games. So if games are on a "regular" night they appear to have the best attendance of all.

It should be noted that after 6 days off, the graph can be considered unreliables as usually only 1 team had games with that number of days off and usually only 1 game.
